In an attempt to explore everyday life behind the noise barrier, I placed a trail camera about two and a half meters high on a tree near the D55 highway. For several days, it captured every movement behind the concrete structure, day and night. The resulting images revealed both bizarre moments and everyday scenes — such as migrating wildlife, a woman relieving herself directly by the wall, quietly expressing a form of protest, or a dog owner regularly walking his German shepherd along the barrier. Some time later, I managed to make contact with graffiti writers, whose target is, among other things, noise walls.

This project documents not only the subtle, hidden world behind the noise barrier, but also the interactions between people, animals, and this impersonal yet prominent intrusion into the landscape.

Ve snaze prozkoumat každodenní život za protihlukovou stěnou jsem na nedaleký strom u dálnice D55 umístil fotopast do výšky asi dvou a půl metru. Po několik dní a nocí zachycovala každý pohyb za touto betonovou konstrukcí. Výsledné snímky odhalily bizarní momenty i všední scény – migraci divoké zvěře, ženu vykonávající potřebu přímo u stěny v jakési tiché formě protestu, nebo pejskaře, který podél bariéry pravidelně venčí svého německého ovčáka. Později se mi podařilo navázat kontakt také s graffiti writery, pro něž jsou právě protihlukové stěny jedním z častých cílů.

Tento projekt dokumentuje nejen subtilní, skrytý svět za dálniční zdí, ale i interakce mezi lidmi, zvířaty a tímto neosobním, a přesto dominantním zásahem do krajiny.
